  20. Thanks to all who have responded with information on where to find WAIS.
  21. I now have a working version of Gopher and WAIS.

  23. Gopher may be gotten from boombox.micro.umn.unc with full sources and
  24. ready to go under MultiNet in the directory pub/gopher/VMS/vmsclient.v06.

  26. WAIS may be gotten from several sources (I presume that Gopher may also,
  27. but I wasn't looking for them) but I chose mcclb0.med.nyu.edu at the
  28. kind invitation of Ross Smith.  The directory [anonymous] contains a
  29. compressed backup of a fully working WAIS with _sources_.  I picked up
  30. a neat menu driver for wais [called waismenu] from aarvark.ucs.uoknor.edu,
  31. a twg site.  This menu has the nearest thing I have seen to documentaion
  32. for WAIS.
