  11. There is a discussion now taking place on DECUServe in the DECUSERVE_FORUM
  12. notefile regarding a News <> DECUServe gateway.

  14. The evolving thread seems to be heading to implementation in several
  15. phased steps, after which the results of the step would be evaluated
  16. before moving ot the next step.  My best guess right now that the most
  17. likly implementation would be read only groups for a couple conferences
  18. as pilots (assuming of course, that anything at all gets approved).

  20. I'd like to start gathering current info on what notes-to-news software
  21. exists, and is in use.

  23. I'm aware of three;  one is a version done by Dec;  anyone know any 
  24. contacts?  I also am aware that someone did an implementation in
  25. Mumps;  I also have  crude version in DCL and FORTRAN.  I'd like to
  26. identify the best software to implement this, while looking to the
  27. future of possibly adding the ability for subscriber or general
  28. posts (not necessarily there now, but doable in the future).
