- 88.1 WKNC Raleigh Heavy Metal, Soul, Alternative, Jazz
- 88.7 WXDU Durham Various
- 88.9 WSHA Raleigh Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Gospel, talk shows
- 89.3 WXYC Chapel Hill Almost anything, all the time.
- 89.7 WCPE Raleigh Classical (non-NPR)
- 91.5 WUNC Chapel Hill Classical, Jazz, NPR
-
- You're most likely to find RHCP et. al. on WKNC 7pm-10pm Mon-Thurs, on WXDU
- (although I don't know their format schedule), and on WXYC intermixed between
- Ella Fitzgerald, ABBA, the Trio Bulgarka, and all the other stuff they like to
- mix together. (I like WXYC :-). As far as reception, you can't get WXYC or
- WXDU in Raleigh very well, nor can you get WKNC in Durham/CH (unless they've
- gotten more powerful recently). Good listening!
