- WOMEN AND THE EARTH '92 - Raising Consciousness
-
-
- WOMEN AND THE EARTH '92 is a celebration of women's collective
- empowerment on behalf of the Earth! From 9:30am until 10:00pm on
- Saturday August 29th, over thirty presenters will share their own
- personal relationships to this theme at the Robson Square Conference
- Centre on downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.
-
- WOMEN AND THE EARTH '92 is designed to raise ecological consciousness
- through honouring of women's wisdom and grassroots activism. Following
- the fabulous success of its 1990 predecessor, this year's event will
- once again feature a diverse array of speakers as well as poetry, dance
- performance, music and film.
-
- The sliding scale ticket price ($40 - $20) is available in order to make
- this not-for-profit gathering as affordable as possible. Those who are
- able to pay at the higher end of the scale are enabling others to attend
- at a more accessible rate. Doors open at 9:00am, but advance purchase is
- definitely advised. WOMEN AND THE EARTH '90 sold out, attracting women
- and men from as far away as California and Alaska.
-
- Tickets are available from Banyen Sound (2669 W.Broadway), Circling Dawn
- Organic Foods (1045 Commercial Drive), Ariel Books (1988 W.4th Avenue),
- and at the Vancouver Women's Bookstore (315 Cambie).
-
- For further information, please contact Diane Radmore at 604.737-4302.
