- UNCLEAR ON THE CONCEPT...
-
- )From: Jeff Cohen <JC924%ALBNYVM1.BITNET@pucc.Princeton.EDU>
- )Subject: Super VGA
- )To: Multiple recipients of list WIN3-L <WIN3-L%UICVM.BITNET@pucc.Princeton.EDU>
- )
- )I have to start out by saying that I am a novice at all of this, but I
- )would like some information on using the Super VGA driver with Win3.1
- )I have a DFI computer (Diamond Flower Inc. -- a clone from Taiwan)
- )with a VG-5500 16-bit Super-VGA Board (at least that's what it says on
- )the book that came with it. (the computer is a 486-33 with 8mg of
- )RAM). Originally, I set Win3.1 up using the VGA driver, but I thought
- )I'd try the SVGA driver. I changed the set up and it worked OK, but
- )when Win3.1 came up, everything was much smaller on the screen. It
- )was a lot sharper, but much smaller. I didn't like it, so I went back
- )to the VGA driver. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Is there
- )any way to increase the size of things in SVGA? Am I doing something
- )wrong? Is there another driver I should be using? Or should I just
- )stay with the VGA driver?
