  13.    GHWB has repeatedly said that he would allow for exceptions of
  14. rape and incest.  The fact that he avows support for the platform
  15. does not invalidate this fact.  It is simple a recognition on his
  16. part that to tinker with the platform to suit him would make more
  17. trouble than it is worth.  The platform goes further than GHWB on
  18. this issue.  That is all.  It does NOT mean that GHWB opposes any
  19. abortions for women who get pregnant as the result of rape, or of
  20. an incestuous liason.
