  13.    It seems that the tide is finally turning.It would seem that
  14. the fundalmentalist contamination of politics is finally starting
  15. to die off.  The Democratic Party is firmly on the side of choice
  16. for women.  And even more telling is how out of touch are members
  17. of the Republican Party platform committee with their party.  The
  18. polls show that the majority of Republicans favor choice.  And it
  19. also appears that they are sick of abortion as the dominant issue
  20. in American politics.  Many republicans are seeing how much their
  21. party has lost its conservative ways.  They see that conservative
  22. thought has been replaced by a knee-jerk opposition to anything a
  23. liberal might support.  Soon the Republican Party will not cringe
  24. at the bellowings of the fundamentalists.  There are indications,
  25. although few at this point, that the Republican Party will become
  26. again a political party based on principle.  This will not happen
  27. in this election, because they have cornered themselves in dozens
  28. of ways.  When one considers the numerous lies that GHWB has told
  29. to the American people, a vice president that is dumber than dirt
  30. on my shoe, a failed attack on Iraq that left Sadam Hussein right
  31. where he was before we attacked, an ecomony in shambles, the lame
  32. attempt to ditract us from things that REALLY matter by making an
  33. overblown issue of flag burning, one can easily see that American
  34. voters have had it with this guy.  And it is too late to alter it
  35. enought to change what is going to happen in November.  GHWB blew
  36. so many chances to do the right thing that Pee Wee Herman will be
  37. able to beat him.  Maybe this loss is just what the GOP needs.  I
  38. hope that it finds its way again.  Because these days they appear
  39. very stupid.
