  14. Hello All;
  15. I have just returned from a vacation at the Wisconsin Dells in Wisconsin. 
  16. While there, I have encountered i]something very interesting which has 
  17. turned into quite a mystery. I thought I'd mention it to everyone on the 
  18. net to see if anyone can help me solve this mystery.

  20. First Some background, though. I am a NASA Electronics Engineering 
  21. Technician based at the Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. In my 
  22. spare time, I enjoy helping Students, and Educators to discover the wonders 
  23. of our Space Program, and to initiate Space Science Learning Projects (
  24. Particularly Space Shuttle and Space Station Simulations) at their schools. 
  25. Now, you'll know why the following event has caught my interest and 
  26. curiosity.

  28. While I was walking into a Wisconsin Dells restaurant, I noticed a kid (
  29. High School Aged) wearing a T-Shirt which read (On the Front) ...

  31.      VIKING-I
  32.    Space Station
  33.      Simulator
  34.        1990

  36. When I asked the student what that meant, he wasn't sure since he said, he 
  37. borrowed the shirt from a friend. He did think, though that it was a 
  38. amusement ride or attraction nearby. I called everyone I could think of in 
  39. the area who may be connected with a ride, or simulation of this nature but 
  40. no one knew anything about it.

  42. My next thought was that this simulation could have been performed at a 
  43. local school but am puzzled why I didn't see (or notice) the name of the 
  44. school on the shirt. I believe that this person is a local resident rather 
  45. than a vacationer since he made reference to a ride or attraction in the 
  46. area.

  48. I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have any idea about where this 
  49. simulation took place (In 1990) ??? 
  50.  
  51. Also ... I'd be interested in learning about anyone else (Students or 
  52. Educators) who are performing either Space Shuttle, or Space Station 
  53. Simulations at their school or within their community ???
