  23. There are no "scientific proofs" for anything relevent to the historical
  24. sciences (natural history, geology, cosmology, etc.)  However nobody, 
  25. including the scientists ever claim that there is.  What does exist is 
  26. overwhelming, irrefutable evidence, which although it does correspond to 
  27. the notion of "proof" as in "reproducible unambiguous experiment", is
  28. still the only valid method available for reconstructing the past - and
  29. a good enough one that there is no doubt in the minds of the vast majority
  30. of those who actually look at the evidence that the Earth is billions of years
  31. old and that life evolved over that time.

  34. dishonest.
