  27. Actually, these tests DO NOT measure intelligence!  I had occasion to
  28. speak with an educator who is quite knowledgable about these exams.  I
  29. was telling him that I think they are a farce (due to my very high
  30. score and my knowledge of my own abilities... i.e., the test make me
  31. out to be god, and I am not).  Anyway, his response was that there is
  32. a strong correlation between GRE score and success in graduate school.
  33. And that is why its used.  It has nothing to do with intelligence.
