  12. Radio Shack is now selling a True RMS voltmeter for only $99. It is a
  13. "benchtop" type, but uses batteries. It also measures frequency (to 4 MHz),
  14. capacitance, and has a unique "Auto ID" transistor checker:it will identify
  15. the leads (E,B,C), NPN or PNP, and then the beta. Great for all those "what
  16. in the world is this thing" parts.

  18. It has all the nice "Fluke" features as well: peak hold, bar graph display,
  19. rel/min/max readings, and something most Flukes dont have, a dBm scale for
  20. audio measurements.
