  20. Unfortunately, funding competition is a fact of life, at least in
  21. research, petty as it may be.  Are SSF and SSC taking money from other
  22. worthwhile projects?  Definitely Yes.  To say otherwise would be to
  23. decieve yourself.  Does that mean that SSF and SSC are not worthwhile?
  24. This is where there is room for debate.  It is shortsighted to dismiss
  25. as hypocritical anyone who is concerned with how SSC and SSF funding
  26. will affect their own funding.  Perhaps this is not what Dale Bass is
  27. doing, but it sure seems like it.
