- There is a mathematical relationship between the area of
- a thick-film resistor, the Quan-tech noise factor or the
- resistive ink, and the noise index of the resistor. I do
- know that it involved logarithms, but I've confused myself
- as to where they are common are natural. Equally confusing
- is the fact that decibels (dB) are dimensionless values, yet
- they are used to generate an area value of some dimension.
