  13. Ive moved into my new apartment and I now have 5 phones throughout
  14. My roomates pick up on my conversations and modem.  I need a simple little 'in
  15. use' light or LED device. help?!

  17. Ive noticed that when I place a 1.5 volt LED (it gets a little warm)
  18. in series with the phone line, when a phone is picked up the circuit
  19. is completed and the LED lights.

  21. Is this bad?  How will the LED affect the phones throughout the house,
  22. or the modem even?  Should I put 5 of them in series or parallel?  Should
  23. I scrap this plan and build some other device?
