- In general commercial stuff crafstmans ship is dead, but you can say that
- about any commercial industry,
-
- When I worked at a defence contractor's our technicians and CRAFTSmen were
- brilliant. Wiring looms as thick as two fingers where every wire stayed
- in place as it meandered about the box. The componemst themselves were
- boring but they were put together well.
-
- My favorative method of prototying/on off designs is 'DEAD BUGGING' where
- ics are turned upside down and everything occurs above a ground plane.
- Its very rare that you need wire coz the leads of your capacitors and
- resisitors (what you dont use those? must be a digital guy) are usually
- long enough. Before anyone flames me for using this method it does work
- and is a recommended method for mixing high speed ananlog and digits.
-
- Oh yeah, I can loom up with the right knots and i am 22!!!!
