  11. I want to read up on a couple of things.

  13. The first: The UK is now tied into the ERM. This has been much compared
  14. to the Gold Standard days. Can anyone recommend an accessible book
  15. covering the Gold Standard and the economic and political effects on the UK?

  17. Second: It looks like most of the advanced economies are in a
  18. debt-deflation scenario. Since it's doubtful that this is something new
  19. under the sun, are there any good books covering (preferably multiple)
  20. previous and similar situations?
