  19. RIPEM is such a program.   It has been undergoing Alpha testing
  20. and will soon enter beta testing.  RIPEM is not, strictly speaking,
  21. public domain because it uses technology licensed free of charge
  22. from RSA Data Security.  The license agreement precludes commercial
  23. use and has some other provisions, but is probably generous enough
  24. for most sci.crypt purposes.  (The code in RIPEM that I wrote is
  25. public domain.)

  27. Persons genuinely interested in becoming beta testers can
  28. send me email at  mrr@scss3.cl.msu.edu.  I will only take
  29. about 10 more testers before releasing the program, though.
  30. I've learned my lesson and will not make a public prediction
  31. of the date of final release!
