- RIPEM is such a program. It has been undergoing Alpha testing
- and will soon enter beta testing. RIPEM is not, strictly speaking,
- public domain because it uses technology licensed free of charge
- from RSA Data Security. The license agreement precludes commercial
- use and has some other provisions, but is probably generous enough
- for most sci.crypt purposes. (The code in RIPEM that I wrote is
- public domain.)
-
- Persons genuinely interested in becoming beta testers can
- send me email at mrr@scss3.cl.msu.edu. I will only take
- about 10 more testers before releasing the program, though.
- I've learned my lesson and will not make a public prediction
- of the date of final release!
