- All this talk of cosmology and theories that unambiguously
- predict the current state of the universe has made me think
- of the anthropic principle.

- What do you netters think of the anthropic principle? (AP for short)
- That is the idea that the universe is the way it is because
- we are here to observe it. If it were different we wouldn't
- be here.

- Some find the AP anathema. Some find it tautology. I think
- there is possibly something there, or maybe its a tautology :-)
