- I also have used an Eureka (the 2-person size) for 10? years and it has
- served quite well. It did not come with elastic cord through the poles,
- but I later added it and it has made set-up almost automatic. Other people
- are constantly surprised at how quickly it sets up. One of the very
- nice advantages of the self-standing feature is, upon returning from
- a trip in which it gets wet from dew or rain, it is possible to set
- it up inside on a carpet or even a cement floor (garage or basement or
- meeting room) to dry out before packing away for the next trip. It is
- certainly roomy enough for me and my gear, or for two (quite friendly)
- adults and minimal gear. It would be a crowd for three of any size.
- The price was quite reasonable. I have seen the 4-person size of similar
- design and it should handle three scouts and gear comfortably.
- There are many other modern tents on the market that should serve well,
- but I still do like the self-supporting feature.
