- Having just run several consecutive days in rainy weather, I've pondered
- the topic of soggy shoes at length. My Nike Anodynes get soggy and lose
- all their cushioning when wet (very aggravating on long runs). They also
- get very heavy from all the absorbed water. They net result is that they
- feel like bricks tied to my feet, rather than running shoes.
-
- Question: Are there some shoes that behave better when wet than others?
- Specifically, do the gel filled shoes or those with sealed air chambers
- behave similarly? I'd like some good recommendations for "rain shoes".
-
- As an alternative, I might consider a pair of racing flats for running in
- the rain. Of course they have no cushioning to begin with, but they will
- probably absorb much less water and not feel so heavy.
