- Aspartame is just a dipeptide with aspartic acid and phenylalanine, and
- therefore just a source of amino acids. You do get them in slightly
- higher than normal quantities, but any effect of that is highly
- debatable -- the quantity is much less than supplimentation from stuff
- at health food stores -- I think you get about 100mg of amino acids at
- the most from aspartame. Calling it merely "synthetic" is misleading.
