  15. I'll try.  If you've seen one, you should figure it out rather quickly;
  16. if not, this may make little sense.

  18. The Sky Diver is a ``spinning'' type ride seen often at carnivals.  It
  19. consists of a rather large ferris-wheel type structure, with cars in
  20. which two people can sit side-by-side.  The cars are totally enclosed
  21. and are tangential to the circuference of the wheel.  Each car has a
  22. pivot at the front and back.  There is a wheel inside the car, which
  23. allows the rider(s) to spin the car while the (big) wheel goes around.

  25. The result is a ride that won't make you barf, but is a load of fun and
  26. *will* make you fly all around the car and lose everything in your
  27. pockets.  (There is a padded lap bar, but unless your thighs are
  28. *really* huge, it won't be doing anything but limiting your flying
  29. around the car.)  I found it the most fun when I could get the car
  30. spinning on the down trip, so I was rotating wildly while heading
  31. striaght down, then finally end up zooming through the loading platform
  32. while upside down.  Great visual effect!
