- Jeff says:
- " what is 2 cylcing and 4 cycling? How do you tell the difference? Also, I
- noticed that the engine reaches peak RPM when the needle valve is about
- 6 turns out, from the responses I've been getting and from the manual
- this seems like a lot, is it? Should it be closer to 2 or 3?

- A couple of things... You can tell 4cyl fron 2 cyl by the sound. There is a
- very noticable change between 4cyl and 2 cyl operation as well as a change in
- the amount of fule coming out the end. The 4cyl is caused by excess fuel in
- the system causing the engine to file every other cycle. Wish I could send ya
- a tape of the sounds. 6 turns out is ALOT... but this may or may not be a
- problem as long as it runs consistantly at that setting. If it varies, you
- most likely have something clogged in the carb...possibly near the needle
- valve or in the spray bar. Sometimes this is a small almost invisible piece of
- tubing that has been cut off when you pushed the tubing over the brass pipe...
- Look real cles with a magnifying glass and strong light with the carb apart and
- you should find it.
