- On the aileron torque rod that binds - take a #10 Xacto knife (the little
- triangular blade and "relieve" - that is, enlarge the hole the rod comes out
- of at the bottom of the wing root. It needs to be free or your servo might
- not center properly.
-
- The Supretigre .40 is a VERY nice engine. Read the instructions before you
- run it.
-
- If this guy can teach you to fly for $60, it may be money well spent. Most
- instructors, especially to ones connected with clubs, teach flying for the
- fun of it and don't charge. Check with your local hobby shop about clubs
- in your area. The guys at your flying field will know, too.
-
- The Royal .40T is a good trainer, lots of guys have learned to fly with it.
- The Supertigre is really a much spiffier engine that you really need for
- your trainer. The Magnum GP 40 and OS FP 40 are less expensive and are
- good quality, easy to handle, mild sport engines. If you can afford one of
- these ($65-$70), put the Supertigre away and use it on the Great Planes
- Super Sportster that you'll have to have in 5 or 6 months.
-
- Have fun!
