  10. Does someone in the know out there know if the 1991 Nissan Sentra
  11. with the 1.6L engine has a timing belt or a timing chain?  I
  12. looked thru the owners manual under the suggested service intervals,
  13. and there is nary a mention of timing belt service at 60k or
  14. greater intervals.

  16. So either they used a chain when they redesigned the engine, or they
  17. have a lot of faith in the belt.  I looked over the engine bay and
  18. nowhere does there seem to be a cover or whatever service hatch to
  19. get access to a belt.

  21. Any info is greatly appreciated.

  23. All the dealer would say is bring it in at the required service intervals!
