- I have a Ford Sierra with the 2 litre OHC "Cologne" engine -- I understand
- that this was dropped in Europe(?) but it is still in full production here
- in South Africa.
- Is this engine of the "freewheeling" type? (i.e. if the cam-belt breaks
- will the engine self-destruct on account of the pistons hitting the valves.)
- (I have replaced the timing belt as a regular maint. item. My ?? is merely
- for interest's sake.)
-
- Thanks in advance for any e-mails.
-
- Cheers,
-
