- I want to change the (power) steering gear box on my car.. '79chevy malibu.
- I can't find anything on it in my Chilton's manual. So, if you have ever
- done this or taken apart this part of the front end, I would appreciate
- any information. I guess I'd like to know how much is involved
- before I dive in :-). My feeling is that the couplings should all
- be splines, and so am I wrong in guessing that all that will have to be
- done is to pop off the hoses, then the old gear box and put in the new one
- (ie is it as straightforward as taking off a rear drive shaft?) or will it
- be lots of fasteners in impossible places with exact spec
- nuts & bolts to be attached?
