- new cars --good
- ford escort
- saturn sl, sl1(not a hatch)
- nissan stanza(not a hatch)
- dodge/plymouth colt/mitsu mirrage/eagle something or other--all the
- same very reliable car
- vw golf
- ok
- toyota tercell(too expensive
- chevy cavilear(old design, but reliable and has anti lock brakes
- mazda 323(prety nice)
- mercury tracer-0-good--a nice car-I just did not think of it before
- avoid
- hyundai poor quality parts, but a nice car--not quite as long lived
- as better models, dealers are all people who were kicked out of the
- arab bazzar for unethical business practices
- yugo--no spares anymore(or sadly people who can make them)
- In used cars I highly recomend the vw golf, the 90 or newer escort/

- merc tracer, the colt under it's many names, the chevy cav.--just
- 87 or so up--a good buy but not the best car in the class, and if
- you can streatch a bit a saab 900--a super car--just have a dealer
- check it out before you buy...good luck!!
