  11. I replaced the rear speakers in my '86 944 with a pair of 5-1/4" woofers
  12. (I put dome tweeters behind the stock front grills).  No real trick to it,
  13. it just takes some time.  You have to remove the whole molded plastic 
  14. side panel which involves lifting some of the weather stripping around the
  15. door edge, removing the phillips head screws, and pulling the panel out from
  16. under the rear/side window weather stripping.  NO, the window itself doesn't
  17. have to come out.
