- Can someone please shed some light on the subject of how the outside
- temperature and humidity in the air affects engine performance. I drive
- a 1976 TX Gemini (1.6L) and it seems that whenever it is very humid or
- raining, the car drives better than it usually does. It idles smoother,
- has greater acceleration and greater top-end. Could this reflect a
- problem with my engine or the way it is set up? It is basically stock
- except for a set of 4-1 extractors, a Weber 32/36 D/D carb and a
- re-curved dizzy. I have also noticed that on dyno test reports, a
- figure is also quoted for temperature and relative humidity. Can someone
- out there explain this...
-
- Cheers,
-
- Rodney.
