  13. The strange noise begins when you start off and put the car into drive
  14. after the car has been parked.  It sounds like a cable being released 
  15. under the car, which transmits a noise or vibration through the brake
  16. pedal.  The dealer says that it is the computer checking the ABS brake
  17. system.  This does not sound right to me, because the noise is inter-
  18. mittant and does not always do it. Sometimes it does it while I am back-
  19. ing up once again after being parked and the car has been restarted.
