- No, Phase change requires energy. This energy comes from the liquid (removed).
- Do not confuse the input energy (gas or electric burner of a stove) with

- The original poster is correct. You are confusing _heat_ with _temperature_.
- Also, boilig can take place without adding heat (change in pressure). The boilg
- soup example is taking place at a constant (relatively) pressure. The
- refrigeration cycle does not.
