- Howdy!
-
- I was looking around a local hi-fi shop (bad idea--induces bankruptcy) and
- came upon Polk's Monitor 4.6 speakers; the salesperson offered them to me
- for $250. I'd like to solicit your opinions on speakers in that price range
- and size -- < $400 and nothing too bulky because I'll be inside dorms and
- apartments for quite a while. They'll be driven by an NAD 7240PE receiver.
-
- So, here goes:
-
- Is that a good deal for the Polk 4.6's?
-
- The Polk and BA speakers I listened to sounded nice, but the Polk sounded
- a little more efficient (louder?). Are Polk and BA equally good buys in
- that price range?
-
- What other brands might have what I'm looking for? I've heard about Klipsch
- and Infinity (sp?); are they comparable?
-
- This is probably a real FAQ (apologies).
- Please respond to me by e-mail (one of those 3 below has got to work),
- and I'll summarize...
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
