  13. Last month I got a card from the Long Ridge Writer's Group about their correspondence
  14. course for writers.  Without promising anything, they do make it sound like an 
  15. attractive way to break into writing and to get published.  
  16.  
  17. Before commiting to anything, I'd like to hear some opinons on correspondence 
  18. courses.  Are they worthwile, are they worth the money? Is it better to take some
  19. local writing classes, join a writer's group, go to a workshop, practice, . . . ?
