  19. A lot of non-writers do seem to think that writing is both easy and a
  20. quick way to make money. [If only it were so! :) ]  I've had a few mixed
  21. reactions to the statement "I am a writer".  People seemed to be either
  22. quite impressed, and immediately want to know what i've had published.
  23. Or at the other end of the scale, seem to think that I have a cushy
  24. life.

  26. However what I find interesting among a few writer friends, is the 
  27. reluctance to reveal what it is that they actually write.  While I
  28. write crime/horror/thriller, I started out writing murdery & mystery
  29. drama games.  [Which considering the publication of a book on the subject, 
  30. has been quite successful).  But all too often I'm told that while what I 
  31. do is all very good, when am I going to do some "serious writing"? 
  32. [Grrrrrrrrrrr...]  I take my writing quite seriously, no matter what it 
  33. is that I am working on at the time. It seems whatever the case, 
  34. a writer's lot is not a happy one! :)
