- As I am sure you know, keeping pace with developments in technology is
- increasingly hard to do, especially with machines becoming obsolete so
- quickly, and prices rising as they are. Public schools are suffering
- in this area too - keeping up-to-date machines is impossible at this
- level, without help.
-
- Keeping a good computer education now requires machines that run on
- Unix. In just a few years, most computer systems will probably be
- running some form of Unix as a base. Because of this, and the
- flexibility Unix can offer in many ways, Unix is essential.
-
- Two students at a California school, Morro Bay High School, have seen
- this, and are trying to keep the school up-to-date as much as possible
- with their current budget. Unfortunately, this requires getting
- machines for nothing.
-
- If you have a Unix based machine that you would like to donate to this
- cause, preferably a Sun pre-SPARC machine, please mail one of the
- following addresses.
-
- Thank you for your time.
