- There is a newsgroup called misc.invest that periodically discusses CGO.
- One of the participants, David Favor, is even employed by CGO.
-
- A friend of mine is a member. He likes it a lot. Since I'm his friend,
- he lets me listen to his audio tapes and read his CGO newsletters. They're
- OK, but there are other sources where one can get the same information
- for only a fraction of the cost.
-
- I recommend you start by reading Charles Givens' two best-selling books,
- which you will surely find in the public library. CGO is essentially an
- extension of that philosophy.
-
- Becoming a member can be worthwhile, but there are numerous alternatives
- that are just as effective, and much less costly.
-
- A lot depends on your purpose, and since you've asked a very general
- question, I can only give a very general answer.
-
- One of the benefits of being a CGO member is attending there seminars
- throughout the country. You have an opportunity to meet other members.
- Since everyone is sharing the common goal of enhancing personal wealth,
- this social interaction with others can be motivating.
-
- On the other hand, you could join a local investment club in your
- community, which would cost you nothing.
