- That's excellent advice. Some credit card insurance doesn't cover you at
- all if you take the CDW. I've heard of cases where someone took the CDW
- "just to be sure," and had an accident of some sort. The rental car
- company weaseled out of paying on the CDW and the credit card said tough,
- if you wanted our insurance you shouldn't have taken theirs.
-
- If you're still tempted to take CDW, just turn the contract over and look at
- all the situations in which CDW won't pay even if you have an accident. In
- many cases the car company should more correctly call CDW "Free Money for Us."
