  12. I'd like to solicied advice on international movers & moving.

  14. I'm planning to move from Columbus, Ohio to a place near Munich, Germany.

  16. A rough estimate of the stuff is
  17.  
  18. One car (VW Golf) (possibly a second car)
  19.  
  20. 500 - 1000 pounds of books, manuals, tapes, etc.
  21.  
  22. The equivalent of 10 - 20 suitcases of clothes, in boxes
  23.  
  24. One desktop PC
  25.  
  26. Three very large boxes, and perhaps 10 medium boxes of toys
  27.  
  28. leave some room for the stuff I forgot
  29.  
  30. Questions:

  32. - What is the way to go? Container? door to door? port to port?
  33.   What are the going prices for that kind of move?
  34.  
  35. - Any positive or negative experiences with certain international movers?
  36.  
  37. - Any experience of getting a shipped car licensed in Germany? (TUev)
  38.   (It seems to be worth it since used car prices are at least double
  39.    in Germany, unless on is required to have modifications that cost
  40.    too much).
