  21. along the Great Ocean Road leaving Adelaide for Melbourne on
  22. the 1st of December 1992, and also raise money for a vital
  23. humanitarian cause...  this is your chance.

  57.             "BREAK THE BLOCKADE - CYCLE FOR CUBA"
  58.                         bicycle ride
  59.                 (Adelaide to Melbourne, 1992)

  61.      1. The "Break the blockade - Cycle for Cuba" (Adelaide
  62.      to Melbourne, 1992) bicycle ride (hereafter referred to
  63.      as the ride), has been primarily organized to assist in
  64.      providing essential humanitarian aid to the people of
  65.      Cuba, essentials which are currently denied to the Cuban
  66.      people by the existence of the illegal economic and
  67.      trade blockade conducted by the United States of
  68.      America.

  70.      2. The ride is independently organized by its Organizing
  71.      Committee in liaison with the "Cuba Solidarity Campaign
  72.      SA".
  73.  
  74.      3. Official participation in the ride is open to any
  75.      individuals or organizations who support the aims and
  76.      principles of this charter, accept its "Participants'
  77.      Statement of Rights and Duties" and are prepared to sign
  78.      the ride's "Entry Form" which incorporates a "Release of
  79.      Responsibility Declaration".

  81.      4. All participants are free, if they so desire, to
  82.      express any personal views and opinions. However, ones'
  83.      participation in the ride, in whatever capacity, is not
  84.      by itself an expression in favour or against any
  85.      government or political system in Australia or abroad.

  87.      5. The primary aim of the ride is as outlined in article
  88.      1. of this charter. However, further aims of the ride
  89.      are as follows:
  90.                a) To promote cycling as an effective means of
  91.                transportation and recreation, as a means of
  92.                elevating physical and mental health and as a
  93.                viable fund raising activity. The ride is not
  94.                to be regarded as a cycling competition.
  95.                b) To promote the spirit of cycling in peace
  96.                and friendship amongst its participants and
  97.                towards the community in general.
  98.                c) To attempt to provide its participants with
  99.                an inspiring, social and relaxing vacational
  100.                activity.
