- *Subject: Registration INFO & Endorsers for The 3rd CONVENTION (Aug 21-23)
-
- The People's Progressive Convention will begin Friday
- afternoon, August 21st, and end Sunday afternoon, August 23rd.
- Convention proceedings will be held on the campus of Eastern
- Michigan University in Ypsilanti. Ypsilanti is just outside of
- Detroit; for those who will be flying, it is only a 15 minute ride
- from the Detroit airport.
-
- A committee in Michigan has been working to arrange descent,
- low-cost housing in local motels/hotels, as well as for some free
- housing. They are also arranging for local transportation, food and
- other necessary logistics.
-
- The schedule for the Convention has begun to be developed by
- a National Planning Committee initiated by Project New Tomorrow and
- composed of a growing number of organizations. The final schedule
- and other logistical information will be sent out later to all
- those who pre-register.
-
- We encourage you to pre-register! This will help us to better
- prepare, and it will help us meet the up-front expenses of
- organizing an event of this kind.
-
- For most people pre-registration is $20.00. For people on fixed
- income, the unemployed or students there is a $10.00 pre-
- registration fee.
-
- Please fill out the coupon below and return to us as soon as
- possible.
