-
- Would it be possible to put the "Z" magazine commercial at the end of the
- message (I dare not suggest leaving it out altogether) so that one doesn't
- have to plow through four pages of intro before getting to the message?

-
- I've put it both at the top and at the bottom. Technically, we're
- supposed to put at the top, period, per the agreement with Z. I do
- this when I post such for the first time; then we I auto-post a
- "series" like this one I often put it at the bottom.
-
- I've trying hard at the moment to convince Z (as well as the Nation,
- with whom I've finally started an email dialogue) to get online (and
- to get comfortable online in the case of the Nation) -- when they do,
- I'll be brave enough to tell them, look, it's not helping you at all
- to want to put it at the top -- but until they're personally familiar
- with what it's like to use a news-reader, or email, the concept of
- the-first-25-lines and their centrality (why I start so many of my
- posts with "excerpts" to tease people into interest, when I have the
- time to do this), I don' think they'll understand.
-
- Until that point in time, I'll probably continue to use the present
- imperfect compromise.
