  16. I have an idea to combat negative campaigning.  The Clinton/Gore campaign
  17. can have a person monitor the speeches by Bush and Quayle.  This monitor
  18. would then keep track of the time spent on negative comments about Clinton
  19. or Gore (or even "liberal democrates"), time spent on the Bush/Quayle view
  20. of issues, and time spent talking about generic things like "we need to
  21. keep faith in America".

  23. These numbers could be compared against Clinton/Gore speeches.

  25. A weekly "What did George Say?" announcement could be made about the
  26. negative content of Bush/Quayle speeches and the lack of discussion about
  27. specific issues.

  29. Since I'm not part of the democratic machinery, anyone is welcome to pass
  30. this suggestion along to someone who is a part of it.
