- Well, since I brought something like this up a few days ago - I guess I'll
- summarize what I've found out. It is my opinion that although the MIT X
- Consortium recommends the use of gcc to build the whole shebang, I don't
- think they mean gcc-2.2.2!!

- and bad points are a timeless fact, beyond anyone's power to change.

- That is not true. Version 2.2.2 is a beta test release of a program
- that was designed by people and is actively maintained by many of the
- same people. We expect a beta release to have problems, and we want
- to fix them.

- Each time you find a problem in GCC, please send a specific bug report
- that explains how to reproduce the problem. That will enable us to
- fix it.
