- Using vm-mail, I inadvertantly sent a message with
- unbalanced parentheses in the To line.

- the actual people getting the message, including myself,
- being listed on the Bcc: line.

- When I next tried to read my mail using vm, I got an error
- message to the effect that the variable "address-start" was
- undefined and I couldn't read new mail (including the Bcc
- copy to myself and the various bounced copies coming from
- other machines).

- I was able to correct the problem by using find-file to read
- my INBOX and then deleting the offending messages.
