  14. A little poser that I can't fathom out.
  15.  
  16. Moving from one line to the adjacent line (using C-p and C-n) the cursor can
  17. either do one of the following:
  18.  
  19.         Move to the beginning of the adjacent line - irrespective of the amount
  20.         of text on that adjacent line,
  21.  
  22.         OR
  23.  
  24.         Move to the same column position in the adjacent line - if enough text
  25.         exists - or move to the end of the line if there is not enough text.
  26.  
  27.  
  28. I'm looking for a/the standard Emacs variable/function that controls the above
  29. behavior.
