- Hello,
-
- A little poser that I can't fathom out.
-
- Moving from one line to the adjacent line (using C-p and C-n) the cursor can
- either do one of the following:
-
- Move to the beginning of the adjacent line - irrespective of the amount
- of text on that adjacent line,
-
- OR
-
- Move to the same column position in the adjacent line - if enough text
- exists - or move to the end of the line if there is not enough text.
-
-
- I'm looking for a/the standard Emacs variable/function that controls the above
- behavior.
-
- Any help will be very much appreciated.
- Regards,
- Kenny
