- Let me first say that I don't know anything about lisp, or much about
- any language for that matter...Anyway, I'm looking for something I can
- put in my .emacs file that will aloow me to: (either) auto insert a
- specific file into a new buffer with a certain name (ie: ok, I'm in a
- buffer called "blah-blah-blah" and since it starts with "blah"
- autoinsert the file "so-and-so" to the end of the buffer) or, create a
- command that will allow me to autoinsert a specifc file at the end of
- the current buffer with a certain keypress (ie: pressing C-x C-I
- autoinserts the file "myfile" to the end of the current buffer)....
-
- Someone helped me out with this before, but my .emacs was auto-deleted
- by my system here, and I NEED IT BACK! And, like I said before, I am
- a neophyte so please don't direct me to "autoinsert.el" or some other
- pre-existing lisp code which I can't comprehend....
-
- Thanx in advance.....Please e-mail replies...
