  16. I'm trying to install BASH on our stock AT&T System V r3.2 system running on
  17. an Intel 386 based machine.
  18.  
  19. The problem occurs when make reaches newversion.c, saying that it has a syntax
  20. error at line 172 (after the End of the file).
  21.  
  22. I am assuming that this is a product of AT&T's abysmal include file 
  23. organization (It usually is) and can be fixed with a simple change in order or
  24. switch to a different #include..
  25.  
  26. I've looked at all the installation docs, README, INSTALLATION, machines.h,
  27. config.h, sysdeps.h, etc.. and haven't the foggiest clue as to how to fix this
  28. problem..

  30. Any help would be appreciated.

  40. resources.  if there's an FAQ somewhere that I missed, just douse the flames
