- For those who missed the earlier thread, Metro no longer runs
- extra trains after concerts at RFK. Trains stop leaving the station
- at the normally scheduled time, no matter what time the concert ends.
-
- At last night's U2 concert, Metro was passing out fliers to people getting
- off at the Stadium/Armory Station before the concert, telling what time
- you need to get to the station to be sure you'll get back. For those
- of us who had long trips (I had to get back to Silver Springs), the time
- was 11:30, the same time the concert ended.
-
- It seems to me Metro just doesn't care about customer service; they're
- solely interested in not disturbing some precious schedule. I had to miss
- the last thirty minutes of the concert, as did lots of other people,
- just to avoid paying a huge cab fare to get back to my car.
-
- I don't see why my taxes which subsidize Metro should be used to get
- you home from a concert which is a privately owned commercial
- enterprise.
-
- Seems appropriate that Metro closes at their usual time, and
- commendable that they handed out fliers.
-
- If you want to complain to someone, why don't you suggest to RFK, U2,
- or the concert promoter that they start 30 minutes earlier so everyone
- can make their train? That wouldn't cost anybody anything.
