  10. Annual computer show & hamfest sponsored by the Foundation for
  11. Amateur Radio:

  13. Time:         8am to 3:30pm
  14. Place:        Montgomery County Fairgrounds, Gaithersburg
  15. Admission:    4 or 5 dollars (I forget)
  16. Size:         Enormous; a major event.
  17. Stuff:         *Commercial vendors for computers and accessories
  18.                *New and used ham radio equipment of all types
  19.                *New and used shortwave receivers and scanners
  20.                *Tons of shareware vendors and used commercial software.
  21.                *Used computer things, data terminals & misc. electronics.
  22.                *Unrecognizable technical junk and boat anchors.
  23.                *Trinket vendors: tools, crafts, even office supplies.
  24. Food:         Concession stands available; long lines. Best to bring
  25.               your own snacks if you're gonna stay awhile.
  26. Bathrooms:    Available but filthy w/long lines. GO BEFORE U LEAVE HOME!

  28. Misc:         Most commercial vendors occupy the two buildings. The bulk
  29.               of the flea market is outside.

  31. To Sell:      Just show up with the general admission fee and a few extra
  32.               bucks for the tailgating fee, and set up your table. If you
  33.               want a nice shady spot under the trees between the two
  34.               buildings, get there before 5am, otherwise you end up
  35.               in the open field.  In any event spaces fill up fast.
